Can the newest ipod nano 7th generation work with it without a reciever

I am getting a iPod nano 7th generation and if I bought the one with the reciever I will waste $25 dollars! So I need to know it.

    I have a Nano 7th generation and when I inquired about needing the sensor and receiver, I was informed the Nano had the receiver built in and all I needed to purchase was the sensor, which can be purchased from the Apple store for $19.
