Can I connect an earlier generation Mac Mini to my Dell Display? Does the mini-DVI to DVI adapter work for this? is the cable long enough?

Answer
The adapter does not connect directly to your display (you'll note the DVI connector is female and your display will be also). You must connect a DVI to DVI cable to the adapter and then to your display. This cable will most likely have come with your display and will have male DVI connectors on both ends.
If your Mac Mini has mini-DVI and your display has DVI then this will work.
You can check the specs of your mac mini on the support section of the Apple site.- Answered by Jason S from Waverley
