Which adapter must be used with a Mac mini? "DVI to video" or "mini DVI to video"?

  • The answer depends on the age of your Mac Mini. Older Mac Minis used a full-size DVI connector, which is rectangular and about 1 inch wide.

    Newer Mac Minis have a mini DVI connector which is about half an inch or 1cm wide, so you would use the mini dvi cable.
