What cable(s) do I need to connect my mini display port to a standard TV or flat screen? S-video or (composite)? plugs
I have a new Macbook pro (Snow Leopard) and want to play my videos etc on my old tube TV and my new LCD flat screen model.

Your new LCD it will probably have HDMI inputs. Use a mini display port to DVI adapter ($29 from Apple) and a DVI to HDMI cable.
For the old tube TV it gets tough as the mini display port doesn't support it. You'll need fancy converters.- Answered by KB from Brooklyn

I got the HDMI sorted.
However I've still got a problem. I thought by buying 2 adapter cables I might solve my old Tube TV problem.....
i bought an adapter - (Mac store in Singapore) from Mini Display to DVI and also DVI to video adapter - but the female side (Mini display to DVI) has less orifices than the male side (DVI to Video Adapter) has "prongs" so I can't connect the 2 cables.
any ideas?- Answered by WK from Plymouth
