I have a four year old MacBook Pro. Will this display panel work with it? Or do I need an adapter?

I own a May 2005 12" PowerBook G4, a Feb. 2007 17" MacBook Pro and this 30" display. YES, you CAN hook up your PowerBook G4 to this display with a 'Mini-DVI to DVI' Adapter (included in box when I purchased the PowerBook G4)
However, you will not be able to operate the display at its highest resolution. I am only able to operate this display, while hooked up to my Powerbook G4, at 1280x800.
I am able to operate the display at 2560x1600 when hooked up to my MacBook Pro. Due to this I hardly ever use the PowerBook G4 with the display.- Answered by CJ from North Las Vegas

If you have a Macbook Pro with a full size DVI port then this will work without an adapter. If your Macbook Pro has a mini-DVI port then you will need a mini-DVI to DVI adapter. I think that all of the older Macbook Pros only had full size DVI ports but I can't be positive.
