    No. This is not, however, a limitation of the hub. The superdrive itself does not support being connected through *any* hub. It is designed to be plugged directly into the mac and only works that way. Several folks have given the hub bad reviews bc of this, but it has nothing to do with the hub and those reviews should be removed.

  • The superdrive will not work with any hub, including the Belkin. However, the Superdrive does not have to be plugged directly into a Mac to work. It also works with the hub build into Apple's LED and Thunderbolt Cinema Displays.

  • I have an external Bluray drive plugged into the Belkin 4-Port USB 2.0 hub with no problems. The Bluray player usb cable comes with a dual usb "Y" connector, one is for the power and one for the data ( I presume). Anyway, works just fine through the 2.0 hub.

    Certainly the 3.0 Hub should work but may be a limitation of your superdrive.
