Will the Belkin car charger work on an iPad with retina display purchased on 03/15/13?

The description on the Belkin car charger says that it works on an iPad with retina display fourth generation. I purchased a new iPad on March 15, 2013 and have no idea if it is fourth generation or not. I didn't know there was such a thing as "generations" of iPads nor was there anyone to ask, as I purchased it online at the Apple website. Will the Belkin work on other iPads or only on the 4th generation, and how do you know what generation your iPad is?
