Does it automatically switch between heat and cool?

Answer
Yes - but the downside is that the thermostat will operate within a range of temperatures. I want the bedroom to be at 70 but the narrowest range I can get it 70-73. Not a big deal but otherwise it would be working overtime switching between heat and cool to try to hold a specific temperature.
