AFAIAC it doesn't, like the original fitbit which i have ,said the same thing, but it tracks how much you move around and get up.So it doesn't track real sleep.
There are some items on the market that track true sleep cycles, or at least they go on the head, near the temples for monitoring , and not the wrist.- Answered by Michael P from Yonkers
