Will this product work with iPad?

I currently need hard storage for my data and would like something that will work with my iPad 2?

    No.

    This drive is intended to connect to your Macintosh computer via USB or Thunderbolt.

    There is no simple way to connect an external drive to your iPad to expand the internal storage.

    You could use your iPad to access files from your Macintosh via WiFi. Or you can access from iCloud.

    For iPad check out the Seagate GoFlex Satellite drive. It connects to your iPad via Wifi. After its loaded with your content, just turn it on. You dont even need to take it out of your bag. A very nice addition without actually adding anything (physically) to your iPad.
