Does this work in vegetable garden beds? What if I have multiple beds?

Yes it does work in vegetable garden bed. Seems like Koubachi does not yet support managing multiple plants at the same time with only one sensor. You can move the sensor from plant to plant (they call that multi plant) or just select the most demanding plant in your garden bed and add it to the app. Worked for me.

  • That was not the question...
Does this device have the ability to manage multiple plants and or multiple raised plant beds?
Example; We have six 4'x8' raised organic beds that we grow our produce for home consumption in. Can you add on units? can one unit manage an entire bed?
Not very practical at this price for multiple plants / beds etc.

The device measures soil moisture, ambient temperature and light intensity. The application supports the use case of one plant per sensor so far. To my experience, the soil moisture (and also the temperature and light) are the same in one bed or even the whole garden.

You can (as I did) use the sensor to monitor the conditions in your whole garden. You just can't get plant specific analysis (regarding the species and everything) of all your different plants with just one sensor. The app does not yet support that.

But of course, you can always add on units!
