    The number of connectors/interfaces is different. The G-Drive Mobile USB drive has a thinner enclosure and only sports a single USB3 connector. The G-Drive Mobile USB/Firewire has a thicker case and 3 connections 2 Firewire 800 and one USB3. The drive mechanisms on ones I use are the same for both G-Drives: HGST Travelstar 7K1000 model 721010A9E630 7200rpm 2.5" 9.5mm high drives.
