Sorry if this is a little obvious but why would I want to run Windows on my Mac? Am I missing something here?

  • I used it because I was able to do work at home by accessing the mainframe from work, which runs Windows, and I could run MS Flight Simulator.

Because not all programs are available on mac yet. So for some people if you want to do your work on a mac but the program is not available then this is the only way. As I've found out doing my uni work.

  • Guess you never have to run OEM software on your Mac then? (CNC or Laser software) This is a "Machine" and if you want to get the best out of it then why wouldn't you install Windows? you can also install Linux too!

I love my Macbook Pro but I can do so much more with it running all of the operating systems :-)

  • Yes you are.

The best games are designed to be played on PC's. it would be a waste not to use the abilities of a mac by not running windows and paying games.
BTW. Parallels is no doubt a great product , but mac include BOOT CAMP to partition and install / manage windows......Free. And it is so easy to use.

  • I use windows so I can use my HP1315 colour laser printer which is not supported to run with the mac. I can use and print in colour any photos or documents created in windows office for mac presentations without buying a new printer.
