Sorry if this is a little obvious but why would I want to run Windows on my Mac? Am I missing something here?

I used it because I was able to do work at home by accessing the mainframe from work, which runs Windows, and I could run MS Flight Simulator.

Because not all programs are available on mac yet. So for some people if you want to do your work on a mac but the program is not available then this is the only way. As I've found out doing my uni work.

Guess you never have to run OEM software on your Mac then? (CNC or Laser software) This is a "Machine" and if you want to get the best out of it then why wouldn't you install Windows? you can also install Linux too!

Yes you are.
The best games are designed to be played on PC's. it would be a waste not to use the abilities of a mac by not running windows and paying games.
BTW. Parallels is no doubt a great product , but mac include BOOT CAMP to partition and install / manage windows......Free. And it is so easy to use.- Answered by Andrew G

I use windows so I can use my HP1315 colour laser printer which is not supported to run with the mac. I can use and print in colour any photos or documents created in windows office for mac presentations without buying a new printer.
