The Bose SoundLink will connect to any device that has bluetooth or there is a separate 3.5mm AUX input on the back to connect directly.

I don't see why not since the G5 has bluetooth. I use it to play music through my macbook just fine.

It will work with the auxillary port (regular headphone jack) but probably not over bluetooth so it would still have to be physically attached to your G5.
