It will work with any iPad with bluetooth capabilities.

Yes. I have the iPad 4th Gen with the Logitech ultrathin keyboard and have no issues. Really a slick setup.

While it types with any iPad, it works as a cover only for the ones with internal magnets — iPad 2, 3rd generation and 4th generation.

It does work but I'm not sure if the iPad retina display dimensions changed. The problem seems to be that the iPad always falls out of the keyboard slot really easily.
