Does this also work when trying to record Wii/GameCube gameplay?

It says it will record PS3/Xbox gameplay, but I need to record with the Wii, not the others. (Hopefully this isn't too stupid of a question)

The Wii works with Elgato Game Capture HD.

You can use the following outputs of the Wii:

    • Component - up to 480p

Elgato Game Capture HD comes with a Component adapter. You will have to provide your own Wii component cable, made by Nintendo or another vendor.

You must manually switch the Wii to 480p output - it will not happen automatically when the Component cable is attached.

    This is from Elgato's website

  • It is not compatible with the Wii but if you want something which works with the Wii The Happauge HD PVR GAMING EDITION is really good for the Wii but when it comes to Xbox and PS3 the elgato is good

  • Elgato Game Capture HD has component input (red, green and blue).

Use that with your Wii, or older game consoles like Gamecube or original Xbox.

You will need to separately buy a component output cable for your Wii, Gamecube or Xbox, since they don't come with component output in the box. Some of those cables may be rare (Gamecube), while the component cable for the Wii is very common.

For older game consoles, the video will remain in the original resolution, like 480p.
