Will I be able to play the strings from GarageBand that's on my iPad with this keyboard?

Answer

This is a midi controller, which means you can input what you're playing from the keyboard to the iPad. In Garageband, add a track for the keyboard and you can select what instrument you'd like to use for the output sound. The sound will be played from the iPad, using Garageband.
