Technically the radar detector portion of SmartRadar will work in Australia. You will need to use the Escort Live app to display the SmartRadar's alerts though. The Escort Live app is not currently supported outside of North America. I am fairly positive that if your iPhone's location is set to Australia then you can't even download the app to your iPhone. You should probably contact Escort Inc, who makes the Escort Live app, for more information about the app.
