Laurie, As long as your iPad or iPhone supports mirroring (New iPad, iPad 2, and 4S) then you can mirror anything that is happening on the device.

Yes it does. It is just useful for people who do not have a HDMI port on their receiving device, for example a monitor with just a DVI/VGA ports.
