The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 is $299 by itself. An iPhone is not included with that, but you don't have to use the iPhone as the controller. It works with iPhones, iPod Touch, and iPads.
As for why it's more expensive than the iPhone, is because this is an intricate piece of technology. Considering there are two cameras, it can be linked to an iPhone, iPod or iPad, and that it's so lightweight, I'm surprised that it doesn't cost more. If you're so worried about the price, then perhaps this isn't for you.- Answered by Alex B from Euless

While it is true that the iPhone 5 16GB is $199 with a two-year cellular contract, to buy one without cellular commitment would be $649 - which it the REAL price of the phone. The price you pay for one tied to AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. is offset by cellular carrier... that is, the cellular carrier is effectively covering $450 of the cost of the phone because you are committing to pay them contract fees for the next two years.
Were you to lose or break an iPhone 5 16GB and have to replace it within the first month or so, it would cost you $649 to replace it... not $199.
So, clearly, $299 is NOT more expensive than $649.- Answered by Todd L from Mullica Hill
