    No.

    The Wi-Fi connection is between the Drone and your iPhone (or iPad, etc.). Instead of controlling the device with a conventional radio frequency or an IR (infrared) controller (like the one found in many Air Hogs indoor choppers), the control is a direct Wi-Fi connection to the drone. No router is needed, they connect straight to each other. Just before you fly, you connect to the Drone's "network" in your device's settings.

  • No the drone creates its own wifi network wich you can connect to using your phone you dont need wifi to use it.
