Can I partition one drive to use 1/2 for time machine and other half for extra storage and then have the first drive mirrored to 2nd drive?
I would like to back up a macbook air with time machine and also have space for non current aperture libraries and large files. So, what I'm thinking I would like to do is partition the first drive allowing half for time machine and then the second half for the aperture libraries etc. and then have that mirror (raid 1) to the second drive. Is this possible or should a different approach be taken. I need to have the aperture libraries backed up and don't want a second drive to plug in.
