Does it stand up on its own or fall over on its face when full?
With all other backpacks I've used, once you fill it with stuff (in particular the front pocket), when you put it on the ground or other flat surface, it leans over or falls over onto the face of the pack, rather than standing up straight like the pictures show? I'm concerned that the handle on the bottom would make this problem worse.

It definitely won't stand on it's own, you will have to lean it against something or have it on a slant.

It falls on its back because the bottom is designed so that it doesn't "sag" when it's full.
