How does the sound of the Big JAMBOX wireless speaker compare to the Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker?

    the sound on the big jambox is crisper and a bit louder. big jambox has better mids and highs then the bose.

  • Don't just compare sound...yes the sound is great (clear,punchy and distortion free through max volume), it is also quit loud and the battery lasts forever. Bose from the demo I had loses its "voice" near max volume and falls a little flat. Also consider this, BIG likes to be the center of attention while Bose just plays some music in the corner, and hopes not to be seen. BIG is worth taking with you either room to room or coast to coast!! Way better than bose on every point.

  • Big Jambox is no where near as portable as the Bose. Unlike original Jambox which definitely trumps the Bose in that department, you are unlikely to take Big Jambox in your suitcase for your Hols. It's portability is a bit restricted. So think of it mainly as a round the house speaker and on those terms it's more about Sound and style and is on both counts much far better than the Bose Soundlink.

  • I compared them both also. I favoured the Bose. I have to say that you should compare both before you buy. The sound on the Bose in my opinion was less distorted at higher volumes.

  • Personally I think is almost the same. But with the price you would be paying almost 25% different you may want to consider the features and function each provided. Eg, Big Jambox could use as a phone speaker and constant software update to make the speaker having more function. I think is a good buy for big jambox.

  • The JAMBOX is louder than the Bose although the sound on the Bose is slightly better. I chose the JAMBOX as with the Bose the volume up/down button needs to be pressed about a million times before reaching the top. It's like it works on a % ratio of 1:1 which was annoying. Do not regret my purchase at all.

  • The Bose wins in terms of Sound quality (Big surprise), but the Big JAMBOX is set at a better price.
