Answer
It is possible to take the device on a flight (to track your luggage, for example), however you must check with your airline carrier to make sure they will allow it.
Because the PocketFinder transmits information using the AT&T cellular network, the device must be shut down during flight. To do this, simply login to your account and click on the "Power" tab; you'll find an option for "Airplane" mode, which will enable you to turn off the device for a set period of time. Make sure to shut the device down for long enough to allow for potential flight delays.- Answered by Gregory H from Irvine

I was amazed to see where my bags go! From the iPhone or iPad app you will see the icon for your Pocketfinder as well as a blue dot representing your iPhone or iPad. When I get on the plane I ensure that my iPhone blue dot is lined up with my Pocketfinder icon and they show on the plane. It's awesome knowing for sure that my bag is on the plane! From the app, touch "power" and put it into airplane mode to protect the battery during the flight. If you've ever accidentally left your cell phone on during a flight you know that your battery will be dead by the time you land due to it searching for signal above wireless coverage area.
Pocketfinders will locate and connect to a wireless network anywhere in the world there is 2G wireless network coverage. You have to call customer support to have international roaming added. You can purchase roaming by week or for longer periods of time.- Answered by David M from Mission Viejo
