Does it fit the Mac book pro 17 inch screen?

No, it would fit a 15" snugly, a 13" with a little room (but still feels pretty secure), and is not wide enough for a 17".

the padded pouch in the middle of the bag does not fit the 17". HOWEVER, the lap top DOES fit in the bag. If you have a hard shell or a sleeve already for your 17", then that shouldn't deter you from buying this bag.
