can this case be " gripped " ? ( rubber base ? )...i don't want a case that slips out of my hand !!....

I have an older version of this case (without the top cutout). It is definitely easier to grip than the iPhone alone. Mine has a soft, kind of rubbery feel. Based on the description of this case, it probably is of the same material. I love mine.
