Will this device work with the "lightning" connector on the iPhone 5?
I know there are adaptors for the lightning connector, but Apple say that some existing 30-pin connector devices won't work with the Lightning connector.
Will this device work with the iPhone 5? I ask because I'm thinking of upgrading my phone. If the answer is no, then that'll make the upgrade that more expensive for me.

Answer
You're right, it will require an adaptor. Only Apple make working adaptors. They have quite sophisticated circuitry inside, apparently including an authenticator. So they're hard to reproduce.

At the very least one needs to assume a $40 adapter which is not a very appealing prospect.I have had 3 Chinese knock offs, none of which work.
