Does this work with the Iphone 3GS?

I did send an email to apogee and they told me no it does not, but that was before the new os update for 3gs/iphone4. I was told however by Apple that there is very little difference between the 3GS and Iphone4 (ie: Facetime and HD recording) and it should work but will let know if it does. I still dont understand how it will work as the Irig has a free app to customize sound directly on the phone and the apogee jam does not

I got it to work with the iPhone 4 (recording audio in the Voice Memos app or the Camera app) but didn't seem to work on an iPhone 3GS
