Will the jambox work in addition with existing speakers that are plugged in to iMac

Not wirelessly.

You can always split the audio-out between two 3.5mm stereo cable devices—the jambox and your existing speakers.

Your mac will only output sound to either the headphone jack/speakers, OR a bluetooth device.

It is possible to use different audio output devices simultaneously with third-party software.
