is the jambox waterproof?

Although the top and base of Jambox are solid plastic and could probably survive a few spots of rain, the sides are made of finely perforated metal and would allow water to reach the electronics inside. So no, not waterproof.

I have to say although its not "waterproof" mine has survived two separate falls into my shower. I normally have it on the top shelf above my shower and because it's bass is strong it will sometimes bounce itself off the shelf. On the second occasion it fell right under the stream of water for a couple seconds. I turned it off, let it dry, and when it turned it back on all was good.
