I'd like to place the unit up high in my kitchen but there is no remote control. Does the unit turn off on its own?
I want to keep the speaker up high on top of the cabinets to produce an effect similar to an installed speaker in the ceiling, but wouldn't want to waste the battery power if the unit does not shut off on its own.

Im not sure if it shuts off on its own, but if you want to put it high up in your kitchen, you should just run some usb power up there and that way it will be always on and ready to play your tunes
