How do these compare to Apple In-Ear Headphones?

I currently have the Apple In-Ear headphones that are a couple years old. I'm looking for some new headphones that are durable and offer excellent sound quality (or at least better than the ones I have now). Will these Bose headphones do the job? If not, what headphones would? (I would also like an inline volume and playback control)

    the apple in ears are cheap earbuds that have poor sound quality i listened to both and i will never go back to apple earphones
