how does it do with rain. i will be using this when on my motorcycle and would like to know my mac will be safe if i get caught in a shower

Unless it's fully waterproof, which it isn't, it will get wet inside.

I used to ride a motorcycle in very nasty weather conditions. What I found as a solution is to wear the backpack under the rain jacket. It doesn't look super sexy and you can't put much stuff in the backpack this way. But it does work if your backpack is not fully waterproof.
