Can anyone tell me if there are external side pockets to hold water bottles? I can't tell from the images.

    No, it does not.

    I'm not sure which bag the other guy had, but the Hurley Puerto Rico backpack in my hands (purchased today) does not have external side pockets to hold water.

  • Nope. No external pockets to hold your water, but you can easily stuff it inside the bag. It's pretty roomy!
