Should i fix the logic board and screen on my 2009 macbook pro for about $900 or just buy a new macbook pro?

The old macbook pro was just the cheapest 13" version, and if i choose to buy a new one, it would be one of the cheaper 13" versions.

Mac

I would suggest purchasing a new machine. Think about the tech specs. You probably have a laptop with a: 2.0 ghz dual core processor, 2 GB ram, and 80 GB of HD space and a laptop battery that has over 300 cycles (aka it doesn't hold a charge an adequate charge anymore). Yes, you have a new logic board and screen, but it is still 3 years old and starting to show its age, and you are either shelling out $900 cash or putting it on a CC and paying interest. With a new machine you can go 0% for 12 months.
