Macbook Air or IPad
I am returning to college and I have an I pad one. I am trying to decide will this device suffice. I will only be using it for typing papers . No games or photo shop just yet. Do I need to get a word program ????? And do I need an external keyboard ?????

100% get the MacBook Air. The iPad is a very fun device, but you can't have two things open at once, and you have to have a keyboard accessory. No iPad keyboard has ever come close to the full keyboard on the MacBook Air, and when you are doing a lot of writing, its great to have research open on half the screen, and your document open on the other. The iPad isn't compatible with Microsoft Word, but uses Apple's Pages program. The MacBook air can run Microsoft Word.
