I lose connection to my ISP, will the airport extreme help boost the connections and prevent dropping

  I was previously using a Belken router and was annoyed by frequent lost connections to the Internet by my Mac Book Pro and iMac. My HP wireless printers also experienced similar problems. The Apple Store recommended the airport extreme. I flinched at the cost and was not sure it would solve my problem. I had 30 days to try it out and if it didnt work I could return the router. Set up was easy and the speed of the router was much faster than the Belken. I have not had any problems with lost connections in almost a year.
