I have an iphone 4, if I buy an unlocked iPhone 5 can I keep my telephone number from my iPhone 4?

Definitely not an expert, but maybe this will help. I know that using a service like Straight Talk will allow you to purchase a simm card and port your current number into their system. This will keep your number in the US, and associate it with that simm card. When you travel outside the US, the number will be based on the simm card you buy in that country. Nice part is though, when you get back, as long as you still have your card from here, you still have your number. The porting does take a couple of weeks, so that part is a bummer.
