It depends. If you are on a 2 year contract, iPhone starts at $199 but you have a month to month service plan. If you are considering unlocked it starts at $649 but there is more flexibility such as switching carriers anytime. iPad mini wifi only starts at $329 with the 4G LTE version starting at $459 (no contract, but have to pay for data). Overall, depends on which model and are you under contract or unlocked.
