Actually it is not totally free...it is free up to 5GB. After the 5GB, which you can reach quickly if you do a great deal of reading and download a lot of books, the next tier is $20.00/year for 10GB, $40.00/year for 20GB, and $100.00/year for 50 GB. Hope this helps.
