does ipad mini require a computer

basically is it a stand alone unit or do you need to sync it with a computer like with previouse iPads

    You do not need an computer but if u want to put music/films on your ipad then its better if you do, as buying them from itunes will be very expensive. but if you dont want music or films on there then its ok not to have a computer. You would charge your ipad from the mains plug.
