Do I need a iPad with 3G
I am thinking of buying an iPad to use for traveling but also will need mapping facility, for both Australia and England. Is there a GPS facility within the WiFi version.

No but in your situation I would get the 64GB with wifi and 3G. I have one and love it. It would serve your needs best for slight price increase. Can now get data plans with no contracts or a card with certain amount of GB available for 3G
