Can I buy ipad with 4g without electing to use the cellular service immediately?

I don't even have a smart phone right now. I'm not sure I would use the 4g unless I went on vacation. I hate to pay the extra bucks for the cellular service capability, but I also would hate to be without it if I wanted to sign up for it.

    Yes you can. I've done just that. I don't plan to activate the 4G function until I go on the road in my motorhome next summer. Then I'll sign up for the 4G data service-I'm using Verizon.
