We just bought this for our Ipod Touch and Ipod nanos - I LOVE it!
It is small, and sounds great- very easy to move to different locations, if needed!
Who knew that so much sound could come from 1 small set of speakers.

I deeply searched the details of 20 others, and by far this wins hands down the best Iphone body supported design to prevent possible damage to your 30 pin port. Very Smart perception and class.
The sound from a small 12 inch form is amazingly nice.

I listened to a friend's Bose Sound Dock II and while the sound is good, the Klipsch is very comparable for half the price. Styling suits an iPhone or iPod Touch and the unit has a solid heft.
I tried the various EQ settings on my iPhone and found a couple that seem to complement the native sound of the iGroove. It definitely does not have the tinny, weak sound of some of the other speakers/docks on the market. This iPhone dock is really incredible. I was skeptical about it at first, most of all because of the price but the bass is amazing and it gets every sound that you never heard before from songs you listen to often. This product has been out for a while but it had a few flaws like not being compatible to newer iPods. But this has changed and although it looks and sounds exactly the same, it is now all iPods compatible and Apple has recently started selling them. So no it is not a new product but it is a new product on the apple website. These speakers and small and deliver great sound. I highly recommend Klipsch's products because they are WAY cheaper than Bose and sounds just as good if not better. I wouldn't say Bose is bad but you are definitely paying a premium for the name. …More

It does not take batteries; it needs to be plugged in.
