    Excellent product!

I purchased this mini G-Drive as a companion external hard drive for backup of my MacBook Pro (late 2008) and am more than pleased with it's functionality, sturdiness, and ease of use. It does not run hot as it has an efficient heat sink built in. Runs off the computer so there is no additional power adapter to fool with. Doesn't take much power and does not slow down the computer. G-Technology makes a fine product and I look forward to many years of use of this drive. I highly recommend it. More

    completely dependable

I've had the non-mini version of this drive for 4 or 5 years and it's been perfect. I only pull it out of the closet to plug it in for backup once a week or 2 or 4 (I know, don't judge :-) ), so maybe it would perform differently if used daily, but I've never had a single problem with it. It was reco'd by an IT professional friend, and I'm about to buy another now that it's full. It's quiet and fast too. More
