Belkin Headphone Adapter with Remote for iPod shuffle (3rd. Gen.)
Works Exactly As Advertised
Written by JB from Portland

I got the talking iPod Shuffle when it first came out for my wife. We both love how it works and it's portability but the headphones would not fit her ears. There are other products that do the same thing but we didn't want something that covers the iPod, making it bulkier. This little device is exactly what we were looking for. It attaches her favorite headphones and give full control over the iPod Shuffle. It moves the controls from the top of the headphones cord to the bottom, but what are you gonna do.
My only grip was it took so long for something simple like this to come out, 5 months after the introduction of the 3rd gen iPod Shuffle. Something like this should be included with the iPod. …More124 of 140 people found this useful

Belkin Headphone Adapter with Remote for iPod shuffle (3rd. Gen.)
Finally and it's long overdue
Written by VA from Astoria

After several months of feeling stuck with the apple ear buds, freedom has arrived. And this adapter is great, although I've yet to test it's performance during exerice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I give it a go during a workout. The controls on this adapter are slightly larger than the remote on the apple ear buds and feel less fragile. Now I'm beginning to feel satisfied with the purchase of this shuffle, and it's about time. …More

The Ups and Downs
Written by DE from Olathe

The Belkin Adapter was a great relief when it first came out. I could finally use my favorite headphones or plug it in to my car. However the adapter buttons seemed a little crude, it creeks when rolled through the fingers. Then finally after a month and a half, when I started to like it and think that Belkin did a good job. The Adapter stopped working and now there is a rattling sound coming from the button area. …More

Belkin Headphone Adapter with Remote for iPod shuffle (3rd. Gen.)
Dont buy it
Written by AS from Hamilton

I bought this about 6 months ago, and thats about how long it lasted me. I didn't need to buy this when I first bought the original ipod shuffle with its built-in remote headphone, but I thought the purpose they downsized the ipod shuffle 3rd generation was for the convinence of people who exercise regularly, I was wrong, after a while my original headphone remote became slightly unresponisve, at the time which you wouldn't blame it on the remote just yet, but quickly it gets worst each day, such as random volume changes, control unresponsiveness, music distortion, song jumping/pausing, in the end the remote becomes an utter liability as it becomes impossible to listen to any song at all with the contants track changes. I had to resort to using a normal headphone and thus had no control over the music I am listening to, but at least I can listen to something.
Then I discovered Belkin remote headphone adapter, and my experience with it was great, just like having a new ipod shuffle again, and I mean it, just about the exact same story happened with this adapter, at first you notice slight unreponsiveness and some minor control problems which at the time you would blame the headphones you were using, not the adapter. This problem, like the original headphone remote, gotten worse each day and now I've once again resort to using more original headphone with no control over the music again. Yes exercise regularly while listening to music with this shuffle, you can blame me on that, apple, becuase this music player you made should be limited to music listening only, not while exercising. I blame myself for not knowing that. I apologise to you apple, I should not have blamed you. Its my fault. …More7 of 11 people found this useful
