Sony DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Wireless Headset
Decent Sound
Written by RR from boca raton

This device had decent sound and is good for workouts. Not good for lying in bed or couches with high backs. It did not fit comfortably in my ears for long periods of time. I was looking for a set I could use for casual listening but found the fit finicky for good bass response. Blue Tooth function was good for volume control and initiating last call but did not work for fast forward or reverse. I returned them for the Sony over the head Blue Tooth DR-BT101 which fit my needs better. …More

Sony DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Wireless Headset
Almost perfect
Written by GC from Portland

Decent sound - a little to treble happy but nothing EQ settings can't fix (use Treble Reducer). Good standby time - 4 days. Good talk/music listening time - 6 hrs between charges. Charges quickly - 2.5hrs. Downside - some music control buttons don't seem to work with the iPhone. Otherwise fuss free pairing right out of the box. Splash proof design so you're good to run in the rain with it although I'm not sure you can really do that coz' the fit is not quite that snug. …More

Sony DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Wireless Headset
$180 CDN wasted
Written by DH from Calgary

I have been trying to find a set of wireless headphones for my iphone to use during work outs.
I was assured that these would work great for that.
I guess no one at Sony or Apple actually sweat when they work out.
What a piece of absolute garbage! I mean REALLY. It is that tough to seal it???
One star is generous. …More2 of 9 people found this useful

Sony DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Wireless Headset
nice wireless bluetooth headphones
Written by LK from Wynnewood

Thi represents a nice option for those interested in a wireles bluetooth headphone. I use it in the gym and
it works great with the machine. Incidentally if you use Nike+ sneakers and press the button on the iphone
while running, you can hear your stats via the these headphones. Phone conversations are poor. You
will be able to hear the person well, but they will likely complain that they can't hear what you are saying
unless you speak very loudly. The sound quality is excellent, especially if you plan on using them
in a loud area. Sound isolation is very effective. Overall I would definitley recommend them. Beware
that you can't use the skip forward/backward function and voice dial is also not available. …More16 of 18 people found this useful

Sony DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Wireless Headset
The fit all design of this sort of headset is not compatible with sitting.
Written by SL from fort lee
Oct 18, 2009
The back loop is so large it hangs way out.
When running the leverage of the back loop makes the hold uncomfortable and a little unstable.
The back loop doesn't hug the back of the neck, hence, if one sits on a chair with a head rest or tries to lie down the back loop will push the headrest off the ears.
The reason for the large back loop is so that one can bend the head up (facing up) and for people with long hair. But I would much rather have a adjustable back loop that hugs the back of my neck so I can sit in chairs or lie down. And if the loop is high enough it will not interfere with trying to look up.
Still, this is much much much better then the Motorola BT headset like this.
The Motorola BT headsets have unusable mics and the back loop is much much heavier then the Sony's, making running with it very unstable. Its obvious neither was designed by a athlete or a audiophile. …More21 of 22 people found this useful

The headset connects via "Bluetooth". iPhone has Bluetooth built-in. You would end up pairing the headset to the phone, therefore an adapter is not required/needed. …More
