I have a data base created with Appleworks 6. Will it import into Bento?
- Asked by AM
- Oct 14, 2009
Best Answer
Yes, an Appleworks 6 database will import in Bento 3. I have only two days experience with Bento and it worked for me on Day 1.
While in Appleworks, go to File > Save As.
In the File Format pull-down menu, select ASCII Text. Name your file, and make sure you include a lower case .tsv extension on your file name.
Now open Bento. Choose File > Import > File and select that file you just created with the lower-case .tsv extension. Once it's imported, take some time to review whether your Bento fields are to include text, dates, numbers, etc.
Really, it was quite slick, and my Appleworks database (which I loved) is now ready for the 21st century. …More- Answered by TM from Vancouver
